Chautauqua Literary Arts Friends (formerly known as Chautauqua Readers & Writers) is an organization of people who appreciate and support the literary arts, whether they are writers or readers. Throughout the Chautauqua summer season, LAF provides social and intellectual events that bring together those who enjoy prose, poetry, and non-fiction of all types. LAF is also instrumental in supporting the journal, Chautauqua, a nationally recognized publication whose contributors have been honored in many ways, including the prestigious Pushcart Prize.
